Antique Mall Haul/Junk Journal Supplies
While I usually shop at thrift stores and flea markets for my junk journal supplies, today I decided to check out an antique mall in the big city near where I live.
It was like I died and went to vintage/antique heaven! A one stop shop for anything I could ask for! Rows and rows of vendors that seemed to know EXACTLY what I look for and what I love to use in my journals. It was a one stop shop for all the things I wanted and some I didn’t even know I needed!!
Perusing all the vendor booths, I was amazed at all the time and care these folks put into their displays. Not to mention the time involved for pricing, packing and displays, the talented people did the thrifting for me! Being an avid thrifter myself, I know how much time and effort is involved handpicking these items. Just the fact that you can spend a whole day or even a full weekend thrifting and not find much at all! My understanding and appreciation was definitely at the forefront in my mind.
Below are some pictures of the fabulous items I found that day:
Gorgeous appliques already cut! Fabulous vintage photos, postcards, handkerchiefs and lace Vintage cookbooks and magazine Truly a vintage children’s book, almost 100 years old I see an altered book junk journal begging to be created with this cutie! Pre packaged ephemera, how cute is that?? An antique leather ledger case. What an awesome journal cover it would make!
My mind immediately starting thinking about how to use all of these amazing treasures!!! Can I go back to that same antique mall today?? Not quite, first, I want to focus on using these scores in my upcoming journals! Stay tuned for some upcoming creations!
Head to an antique mall near you! You never know what you might find!
Glitter on friends,
